The intensive course develops the Finnish language skills needed for job seeking and working life. The course provides participants with the skills and confidence to function in the Finnish workplace by familiarizing them with Finnish work culture, communication practices, and key workplace situations. To be eligible, the student must be a woman and must not have an active integration plan (kotoutumissuunnitelma). The course is free of charge and is delivered as part of a project funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education. Intensiivikurssi kehittää työnhaussa ja työelämässä tarvittavaa suomen kielen osaamista. Kurssi tarjoaa valmiuksia toimia suomalaisessa työelämässä tutustuttamalla osallistujat työkulttuuriin, viestintätapoihin ja keskeisiin työelämätilanteisiin. Opiskelijan tulee olla nainen, eikä hänellä saa olla voimassa olevaa kotoutumissuunnitelmaa. Kurssi on osallistujalleen maksuton ja toteutetaan osana Opetushallituksen rahoittamaa hanketta. Hankkeen tavoitteena on tukea maahanmuuttajataustaisten naisten suomen kielen oppimista ja työllistymistä, lue lisää täältä.

To Whom
The course is only for women who live in Finland and do not have an active integration plan and are not asylum seekers or refugees. Participants may be students or graduates of higher or secondary education, or women who are employed or outside the labour market.
Participants should have basic English language skills, and their Finnish language proficiency level should be at least A1.3.
Size of the Group
Maximum group size is 14 participants.

-Finnish work culture
-Vocabulary and grammar are studied through workplace situations and everyday life in Finland
The course includes 27 hours of instruction and 14 hours of independent study.

-use vocabulary related to job applications and the job search process

Kohderyhmä
Koulutus on suunnattu vain naisille, joilla ei ole voimassa olevaa kotoutumissuunnitelmaa. Opiskelija voi olla esimerkiksi toisen asteen tai korkea-asteen tutkintoon johtavassa koulutuksessa tai tutkinnon jo suorittanut, työllinen tai työmarkkinoiden ulkopuolella oleva nainen.
Osallistujalla tulee olla perustaidot englannin kielestä ja suomen kielitaitotaso tulee olla A1.3

Koulutukseen mahtuu enintään 14 osallistujaa.
Sisältö
-Työelämään ja työnhakuun liittyvä suomen kieli
-Suomalainen työkulttuuri
-Sanastoa ja kielioppia opiskellaan työelämän ja suomalaisten arkitilanteiden kautta
Kurssi sisältää 27 tuntia opetusta ja 14 tuntia itsenäistä työskentelyä.

Toteutustapa verkossa
Koulutuksessa käytetään helppokäyttöistä Zoom-ohjelmaa. Osallistujalla tulee olla käytössään pöytäkone tai kannettava tietokone, sekä kuulokkeet, mikrofoni ja toimiva nettiyhteys. Ohjeet ja linkki koulutukseen lähetetään sähköpostitse ennen koulutusta.
