This is an online course for beginners in Finnish. Starting from the very basics of the language. The student must be a woman and must not have an active integration plan. The course is free of charge for participants, and is part of a project funded by The Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI). The aim of the project is to support Finnish language learning and employment among women with an immigrant background, read more here (in Finnish).
Suomen kielen alkeiskurssi. Opiskelu aloitetaan ihan kielen alkeista. Opiskelijan tulee olla nainen, eikä hänellä saa olla voimassa olevaa kotoutumissuunnitelmaa. Kurssi on osallistujalleen maksuton ja toteutetaan osana Opetushallituksen rahoittamaa hanketta. Hankkeen tavoitteena on tukea maahanmuuttajataustaisten naisten suomen kielen oppimista ja työllistymistä, lue lisää täältä.

To Whom
The course is only for women who live in Finland and do not have an active integration plan and are not asylum seekers or refugees. Participants may be students or graduates of higher or secondary education, or women who are employed or outside the labour market.
The participant should have basic English skills.
Size of the Group
Maximum group size is 14 participants.
Course Content
Finnish language basics, starting from the very basics.
The textbook for the course is Suomen mestari 1. Make sure you have the newest edition of the book. It is recommended to purchase the book before the course begins. The book may also be available to borrow from the library.

- discuss the weather and the seasons
- describe themselves and their environment

- know simple spoken finnish phrases

Kohderyhmä
Koulutus on suunnattu vain Suomessa asuville naisille, joilla ei ole voimassa olevaa kotoutumissuunnitelmaa, ja jotka eivät ole turvapaikanhakijoita tai pakolaisia. Opiskelija voi olla esimerkiksi toisen asteen tai korkea-asteen tutkintoon johtavassa koulutuksessa tai tutkinnon jo suorittanut, työllinen tai työmarkkinoiden ulkopuolella oleva nainen.
Osallistujalla tulee olla perustaidot englannin kielestä.
Ryhmäkoko
Koulutukseen mahtuu enintään 14 osallistujaa.
Sisältö
Suomen kielen alkeet. Opiskelu aloitetaan aivan kielen perusteista.
Oppikirjana käytetään Suomen mestari 1 -kirjaa (uusin painos). Kirja suositellaan hankittavaksi ennen kurssin alkua. Kirja voi löytyä myös kirjastosta lainattavaksi.

Toteutustapa verkossa
Koulutuksessa käytetään helppokäyttöistä Zoom-ohjelmaa. Osallistujalla tulee olla käytössään pöytäkone tai kannettava tietokone, sekä kuulokkeet, mikrofoni ja toimiva nettiyhteys. Saat sähköpostiisi linkin ja ohjeet ennen koulutusta.
